Sandra Kleusken
PhD Student
Institute for Molecules and Materials
Biography
Sandra Kleuskens received her Msc in Science at the Radboud University in 2020. During her master program, she followed the shape transformation of PEG-PS polymersomes using magnetic birefringence in a jointed project between the HFML and the systems Chemistry group. After finishing her master, she re-joined both groups as a PhD student focusing on diamagnetic steering of stomatocyte polymersomes.
Projects for students
Control motion of micro- and nanomotors offers a great potential for drug delivery. This project will focus on using magnetic fields to steer the nanomotors and increase the magneto-responds of the polymers to the magnetic field. Students interested in polymer chemistry and/or an multi-disciplinary internship are both welcome.
